Training and Education for Offshore Workers

At our campus in Elsfleth, in the Heinemann Solutions training center, various training and further education opportunities are offered for employees in the maritime and on- and offshore wind energy industries. These courses benefit greatly from our experience and skills from the offshore rescue team; debriefings from real operations are incorporated into the courses. Qualification of our Employees in The Offshore Sector

The diverse training opportunities at our Elsfleth location allow us to implement various courses specifically designed for our employees. The combination of medical training and technical rescue, alongside helicopter simulations, prepare the staff exceptionally well for their assignments in the North and Baltic Seas.

E-Learning

Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe has a central e-learning platform that provides our employees with various online offers. This platform has a variety of options for conveying modern and pedagogically well-prepared learning content. More learning units are continually being added, including those specifically on the topic of offshore.

On-Site Training and Education at Offshore Platforms

The active and continuous training of employees on offshore structures is one of the key interventions in the offshore rescue chain. For this purpose, we have developed a training concept specifically for the qualification of employees on site in the project. This concept can be implemented by our emergency paramedics, for example on days with bad weather. The training courses are offered in topic-based modules, each lasting 5, 10 and 45 minutes. The content of the modules is based on the topic blocks of DGUV Information 204-041 (“Advanced first aid in wind turbines and parks”, as of January 2021) and was supplemented by practical experience from the department.
