Medical & Health Consulting in the Planning Phase
For many years, we have advised wind farm operators and service providers during the early planning stages regarding regulatory requirements. This includes guidance on protection goals, the requirements for onboard hospitals, integration of necessary telemedicine solutions, and other critical issues
Support in Developing and Implementing Rescue Concepts
Over the last 5 years, we have constantly developed existing rescue concepts in the areas of technical rescue and emergency medicine with our customers and developed new specific concepts. An example of this is our concept for the mass casualty incident (“MANV” for short in German). Special precautions must be taken so that ideal care can continue to be provided in confusing situations with many patients at the same time. The material and its preparation also play an important role. Clear storage locations and labels help to keep an overview, even in hectic times.
Disaster Response Triage Tag
Together with the Hamburg Fire Department, the German Maritime Search and Rescue Service (DGzRS), and the Central Command for Maritime Emergencies, we have developed a standardized casualty attachment card for the North and Baltic Seas. This card records essential information about injured individuals, such as name, type of injury, and vital signs. It is visibly attached to the person to enable quick identification and treatment in emergencies. This establishes a unified system for the various parties involved in the rescue chain.
Organizing and Conducting Evaluations of Existing Concepts
We fully organize rescue exercises for our customers to test existing concepts. We work out the scenario, provide the realistic accident actors ("RUD" for short, pictured), and, if requested, provide specialists from the fields of medicine, technical rescue and occupational safety. The necessary documentation templates, e.g. checklists and the final report, are provided.
Support in Product Development
Many companies benefit from the expertise of Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe when it comes to developing and testing new products in the offshore sector. Our goal is to continuously evaluate the products we use to support their further development. An example of this is our collaboration in the development of medical equipment and rescue material, as here for Mittelmann Sicherheitstechnik:
Rescue Stretcher COCOON
In collaboration with Mittelmann Sicherheitstechnik, the rollable rescue stretcher COCOON was developed. Our expertise in air rescue played a key role in its creation.
